The Division of Gynecologic Specialties at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is made up of faculty, fellows, and advanced practice providers that specialize in a multitude of gynecologic niches including:
- Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery
- Menopause/Midlife Health
- Family Planning
- Reproductive Infectious disease
- Vulvar disease
- HPV/Cervical dysplasia
- Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology
Our faculty are nationally and internationally recognized experts who have or currently hold leadership positions in AAGL, Society for Gynecologic Surgeons (SGS), ACOG, ASCCP, Society of Family Planning, and North American Menopause Society (NAMS). The division is home to cutting-edge multidisciplinary care clinics including the Fibroid Treatment Center and Endometriosis and Chronic Pelvic Pain Center. Faculty are also avid researchers, with much emphasis on translational research aimed to improve the reproductive health of women. Our faculty serve as attendings in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, helping residents in their outpatient clinics and in the OR with advanced surgical procedures. Residents rotate through the faculty subspecialty offices during ambulatory rotations and have opportunities to further work with our faculty during elective time. Several faculty also serve as research mentors for medical students, residents, and fellows.
