The curriculum consists of 9-10 rotations each year which lasts approximately 5-6 weeks. Residents receive 3 weeks of vacation plus 2 personal days and time off over the winter holidays during each year of their training. In addition, time off is permitted for residents to attend and present at national conferences. Residents spend 1/2 day in the patient office which is a faculty-based practice with resident-run sessions under faculty supervision. - Benign Inpatient Gynecology (including 2 1/2 rotation Gyn Night Floats)
- Ultrasound
- Family Planning
- ICU (2 weeks)
- Ambulatory Care
- Urgent Care Clinic
- Faculty Practice Offices including in the Urogyn, Midlife, MFM, CAFD
Year 2 (10 residents)
- Obstetrics (2 rotations)
- Antepartum
- Gynecologic Oncology (2 rotations, 1 at Magee & 1 at UPMC Passavant)
- Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility
- Emergency Department (at Magee)
- Ambulatory Elective
- Ultrasound (including 1 week of Genetics)
- Benigh Inpatient Gynecology (includes 2 days/week at UPMC Hamot in the Urogyn OR and general Ob/Gyn services)
Year 3 (9 residents)
